As a Moroccan woman deeply passionate about the world of beauty and hailing from a lineage of Amazigh Berber tribes, I’ve always had a strong desire to care for my skin and hair using the natural remedies passed down from my grandmother—and, above all, from all the Berber women who came before me.
Unfortunately, after immigrating to Canada, I developed hives due to the country’s climate. My normally calm skin became irritated, allergic, and prone to breakouts. Keeping it under control in the winter has become a daily battle—and finding products I can safely use in the summer presents an entirely new challenge.
I used to buy many products that could “do the job,” but I was never satisfied.
I was often disappointed by the fragrances, textures, formulations, and even the packaging.
